Stacy discovered yoga from his teacher, Adarsh Williams, in Monterey, California in August of 2013, and it
changed his life forever. Since that time, he exited a high stress hedge fund
trading job in San Francisco, CA and later moved to Sarasota, FL to be near loved ones.
He currently teaches yoga, swimming and occasionally meditation. He maintains a healthy lifestyle playing beach volleyball and runs a small Friends-and-Family crypto investment fund in his free time.
Prior to discovering yoga, Stacy had accumulated tremendous pain throughout his
body--fascia tissue, lower back and PFS were nearly debilitating. He medicated
with Advil and wine and tried playing soccer and mountain-biking more; this made things worse.
After one year of consistently practicing yoga, only his lower back pain
remained. After another year of training one-on-one and practicing daily, all
pains were gone! At that point, Stacy was ready for meditation and went on his first
10 day silent retreat. Today, his life is more joyful and healthy.
Stacy began teaching yoga in 2016 in Monterey, California while studying under Adarsh Williams, who is a well
respected worldwide teacher that currently teaches in the Netherlands and Taiwan. After teaching for
a few years, Stacy knew he wanted to make this a lifelong endeavor. He began official studies to become a certified
RYT-200 yoga teacher in 2020, completing his 200 hour teacher training course through
Bhakti Yogashala.
Stacy provides guidance primarily in Ashtanga yoga focusing on all 8 limbs per the Yoga Sutras. He also practices
and teaches meditation (vipassana mostly) and body-weight strength training and swimming. His daughter, Sophia and he have practiced together for a few years and have (barely) begun an online endeavor at Ojashi.com and
